Prevalence of chronic diseases, depression, and stress among US childcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic

Share
Description:

Given that the mental and physical well-being of childcare professionals is associated with children’s academic and emotional learning outcomes, it is imperative to understand and address the condition of childcare professionals during the pandemic and beyond. Although relatively small-scale studies documented the mental health status of early childhood educators before the COVID-19 pandemic, little is known about their physical and mental health status during the pandemic. This study evaluated the prevalence of chronic diseases, depression, and stress levels during the COVID-19 pandemic among US childcare professionals. (author abstract)
