A multi-dimensional definition of child care and early education access that is centered on families


This one-page brief presents an infographic that illustrates a definition of access to child care and early education. It’s a definition being presented by the Child Care and Early Education Policy and Research Analysis (CCEEPRA) project. This definition of access centers around the experience of parents and families and consists of four dimensions: reasonable effort, affordability, supports child’s development, and meets parents’ needs.
